Hammer trails

Rain heavily in the city but at the outskirt far away into remote dense open forest its all dry and hot. Torture day for me, every fun comes with pain, 'no pain no gain'. Was a blast fun ride going down the hill at high speed plus but i come out with major crashed down the huge holes and another slip and bang my chest against the saddle. What a day.

Friends happy hour

Its great to hang around with your buddies after work. Today is special day for my biking buddies, another got his new bike setup and another just got his first car, a cool leisure wagon car and we are really happy to share his happiness with us. Like every old boys we hangout at the bike shop talk lots of stuff and having great times with left overs of cold beer in our hands, we knew stranded at home isn't fun at all so being out there is thrilling. Later we hit the local Restaurant for a free dinner treat courtesy of our friends as appreciation for getting a new car and best time to get around spending happy hours and lots to talk about on this lovely late friday evening. Thanks to William and Eugene i don't have to spent much for my dinner. Thanks bud.

Dusky

High above the sea level i went over the highest hill in town. Greet goodbye to sunset before swollen into golden orange sea. The sea is calm, the wind was a breeze and few people wonders around here to enjoy the scene. Gave me peace and clam feeling. I always escape myself from being stuck at home. There lots of thing out there to discover. Lots of place i've discovered that offer a peace of mind.

Mind boggling ride.

Last Sunday was a bit mind boggling, despite having going up and down and swirling around dusty and muddy path venture in a new trails, were very much low on fuel after running for hours. Unlike our previous ride this one comes to a dead stop where no ones knows where we are actually going. Were are on top of the work looking high into blue horizon searching for an exit. 1 hour before dark we continue crept through murky dead forest....no joy. At 6.45pm we manage to find our way out by climbing over dense bushy trails leading to the edge of the highest clif where we have to climb down to nearest logging trails which we have to danggling our self going down the steep ravine aided with the help of few riders hand to keep us hagging down slowly toward the ground. 10 minutes before Sunday handful of rider manage to move on to pass by 5 final hill climb before escaping the dark forest. At 7.00pm its totally dark. Since i forgot to bring by portable headlight i have to chase our leading rider Richard who's on his HID light as my only hope of light source. Dangerously we travel at staggering speed blindly on rough and unpredictable trails guided only by narrow spot of lights. 5 minutes before reaching the destination we arrive at local tarmac road which leads to our finishing point where we park our car. Sign of relieve we sped happily for home.

Along the Sunset

Yet another sunny day down the road. I do feel very moody today cycling beside the beach and feel the soft glare on my sunglasses with nice slow mp3 music in my ears play me Venice style "Undine" song into my mind...all relax and cooling. Surprisingly the bird nearby bushes of tree flew slow side by side as i pedal down the lane where tree started to shed its leaves and wind blew as i passed by. Out here i feel more adventurous like a new world is there waiting for me to explore and see wonders of the scenery as it goes sunset to dawn as the sun goes down behind shadowy building glittering with diamonds light. The clouds looks amazingly awesome pink orange as i cycle up the hill for home. By night alone i go enjoy the night life and a great simple meal. The waiters and the cook welcomes and greet me with a smile serving me my favorite dishes. People around me, family, couples and normal people enjoying their night out in colorful feelings cheering the scene. I was enjoying myself, keep my mind blank and when i got home i feel relaxed and quickly doze in slumber with a smile.

Flatty psss..

Sometimes luck is not by your side but friends are. Before that my ride was a blast under one beautiful evening. Feeling springy and boingy all the way, After several minutes of ride that springy boingy feeling wasn't tall all nice when my curiosity sets in. Then when i looked behind me the tire was just almost flat, and now i'm miles and miles away from home. Got me push my bike under a hut and change to new tubes, after few pump the new tube valve also broken. Now i have none. With last resort calling my buddies nearby i had my luck and went away on hitch a ride in my buddy's wagon. Its great to have a friend who is very reliable when in need especially friends who share common interest.

Ride under blue sky

For two continuous week our local weather remains sunny and hot. All dry and blue sky. Good news for me but bad news for others. All pack up, bike in my sedan and i'm leaving for the trails to meet up with other mountain bikers to hit the trails that was located 5 minutes drive before Lambir National Park. As usual before ride i got my chance to view some new blings on our buddies rides, IBIS carbon bikes, FUJI carbon and SHIMANO SAINT which hardly seen at local shop. Cool.
We hit the trails at 3.30pm going up and down the hills i mean way up and way down. The surface was all hard rock and slippery so i had to keep my butt on the saddle to keep the grip down. The trail dust looks beautiful as it smokes some tails as we weave down the wide dry trails under the blue sky. We move from high hill down into fields of swampy plantation and again going up through toughest rocky trails like having 3x gravity on our feet. Some doesn't make it though but lucky me i already fuel up my body with dozen of bananas, high sugar carbonate drinks and few plates of meats in the morning...hehehee..
At the end of the ride i realised my brake lever losing its pivot king pin which holds the brake lever in its place. Damns that was the 2nd time i lose the pin. The rocky trails must have cause my bike to vibrate too much and it flew off the coop. Well time to get back and order custom parts for it. However my Sunday was well spent having back with buddies and burn back some calories so i can eat like a king again before next ride..hahahar.

Birthday?

I wake up as usual doing my usual business did even think a bit what's special going on everyday until i open my email received auto reponse from automated admin bot from forums saying happy birthday. oh? ok. so today is my birthday. Even when over to my website most online friend greet me well, i'm very happy. After few chats and post i close my pc and just go about as usual doing my thing. For others birthday is something to be proud of and ego boost of the day being king among its people...present, gift, goodies, candles, cake and all stuff under his or her name.
I only have my birthday when i was 3 years old then thats it. Throughout the years my birth day is just a normal quite day. Nothing so peculiar about or so concern about it. everyone should remember that being born here comes with reasons. To live, enjoy and die for something you believe in. My life concentrate more on getting more experience in life, gain more perpective view about the world, explore on curiousity , enjoy life, being humble and moderate. The only best gift i appreciate is "freedom". Not bound to orders, restriction, borders and criticism im at my free will. Hence should there be obstacles i have rights to eliminate and destroy without hesitation.....well which i practise when i was at young age, Birthday is freedom. So i did.

Fun under the sun

A week of hot weather, cloudless sky all blue atmostphere. As for me sunday was at best mood.... i like hot dry and sunny day especially weekends where outdoors activity are big times for me. As usual in the early morning i always have my ultra heavy breakfast and ultra heavy lunch lots of sugar and carbo stuff for my afternoon muscle overdrive. At 10am we have our usual bikers gathering behind our friends bike shop just to hangout and hear what's up for afternoon plans. All of us excited as today weather is much promising and won't be much of a muddy ride. By 3pm all of us gather around like bikers ritual site at our local beach side esplanade full of public beach goer which at the same time having a beach festival near by. Finding car to park is a mess but lucky we park in a same group. We gather under the shady trees at the heat sore up high under the bright blue sky, we went off 20 minutes later towards the hilly forest behind the plantation estate through narrow trails. Our riding routine as usual: ride up and down the hills, ram through bushes and cruise through dusty and rocky trails at chaotic speed and bla bla bla... Today hardest obstacles always been climbing the loose steep cracky hills, i felt like 50% of my sugar and fat burned into energy in just few minutes...which is good news for me as i need to empty my body for our BBQ dinner later once we arrive at finishing point. My mood swings up high, felt at higher karma, on my way to return home riding on reverse trails back towards finishing points my pedalling becomes lighter and enjoyable, felt like the wind pushing me from behind like friendly soul of the forest pushes lifting me forward at high speed, I just seat down comfortably and ride my bike like "flow like a river" through the trails using my body momentum....its was like dancing around the hall with a smile. Not a drop of sweat needed to pedal through rough terrain as i speeding at break neck speed. The wind was very breezy i felt at ease. I reach the finish point at the beach carpark in just few minutes leaving long trail of dust behind.

Few minutes later one by one all of us arrived and prepared our evening BBQ dinner hangout. BBQ sweet saucy lamb chop meat, snacks, ice creams, cold drinks, beer, local marinated shrimp sauce (cencaluk), fried chicken wings and other nice munchies waiting for us. Everyone was enjoying the evening chatting, sharing passion about the rides and had few stories to laugh about. I consumed too much food that evening more than what normal human being can handle....almost felt wanna puke. The evening sunset was beautiful as the sun slowly sunk behind the orange fantasy pink colored horizon where the sky is cloudless...its truly priceless to see such view and lucky enough to be outdoor witness it. Sky turn to pitch black and the stars began to sparkle brightly on clear sky, all of us still sit and relax as we gather round socializing ourself with BBQ stands still cooking our favorite dinner. More buddies turn up who absent for today ride including our road cyclist friends. We hangout till 8.30pm when all of us pretty well stuff out and food were all cleaned. So i head back for home, have a nice cold and hit the bed as i'm all tired and in a good mood to sleep.

Happy Mothers day

Today is a very special day tribute to all mothers especially to my mother. "HAPPY MOTHERS DAY". I get back home early from my usual mountain biking gathering in the afternoon. Reach home by 6pm and took bath. Went out to town and got ourself a nice decent dinner table where my parents and sister gather around enjoying dinner all nice seafood dishes. Of course its my treat today for my dearest loving mother and family. As usual i ordered my favorite butter prawn dishes to keep my spirit high in my stomach. My mom enjoyed it too. I manage to give her a card and present to express our love and thanks for her contribution to us. From her expression she was indeed very happy and gratefull that we're all together to share those happy moments. As we having our meal i watch my mother sip a bowl of ginseng soup slowly and looked into her eyes, skins and every feature of her. Very wrikley, aged and not as active as she used to be when i was young at teen age. Looks helpless i realised its time to pay her back with respect and gratitude. My mom raise us very well into a life full will all necessity that we need to keep us happy and educated. We as a children well protected and well pampered though i heard in the past she never had much luxury in life when she was young as my mother was born in a small village where electricity and modern things hard to come by. ...all wooden, fire stove, water and enough roofed shelter to keep her and her parent well lived back in those days. I guess i realised my mother don't want us to live in her old ways and raise us in such lucky environment. Even thou my parent live in such moderate economy class family they did their best to give us top notch education, food, facilities and entertainment without thinking themselves but all for the sake of their children...us. I don't think i can have such big capacity to be like her so i'm very much amaze with the volume of hardwork she pour onto us. She is almost getting into her 60's now. I was much worried as her health began to deteriorate. All the best i can do now is to make her happy, make a big family, a grandchildren for her soon and make sure she live with a life full off happy memories before the days ends. We as her children would like to say thanks for everything and there nothing in this world that can match her hardwork and love our onto us. We want her to be happy and we'll always be her side when in need. "HAPPY MOTHERS DAY" mom,

ooooo...Its Sunday

Ahh...Sunday is my special day. Morning always been the best for me as i'm ready to fill my stomach with vast amount of high calories of food for extreme outdoor activity workout in the afternoon...yup mountain biking. In the city it looks really hot and sunny in the early morning but by 11am it started to get gloomy and huge down pour in just a second like huge tsunami without warning. I was expecting to be extreme wet when we reach the Bakam jungle trails but surprisingly the black cloud prefer to storm directly over the city. Hmmm.. must be urban polution factor. I rode with our fellow biker from 3.00pm till 5.00pm much faster than usual because we're doing it at racing pace to clock out time trial speed. Its was all extreme climbing, speed and death defying ride but those thrill enough to give me a big smile and huge laugh when i get back home.

Speeding at Stadium r/c track

Even before and after our office hours we always spent times at the Radio Control touring circuit nearby our local Gokart race track for several laps of races among each other,. Its kinda of interesting to race side by side, navigating through narrow corners challenging both our mental and physical skills handling our cars at high speed. We really do enjoy and sometimes laugh aloud if something always funny happen along the way. For me its very realxing and enjoyable activity before and after office hours just to release out the stress being a working adult, Yes we have all adults people from the 25 to their 60's gather around the track putting all their days of madness at their finger tips and release it on their little cars. Whizzing around the track, beating your opponnent cutting off the grid, drifting and sprint at max really put the stress out of our mind and put those big smile in our face before we get back home. Plus we always meet new friend everyday at the track.
